Voice Activation System
1. Turn on the VAS switch on the top of the cassette player.
2. The cassette will start recording when there have sounds.
3. Turn off the VAS switch on the top of the cassette player.
4. The cassette will record whether there has sound or not.
Tips For Best Radio Reception
1. The earphone cord works as an external FM antenna. to insure maximum FM tuner sensitivity.Always keep the earphone cord fully extended, don’t wind or fold the earphone cord.
2. For maximum AM sensitivity, be sure to place the unit in a vertical position.Keep turning the unit slowly while keeping it vertical until the best reception is obtained.
Battery Operation
1. Open the battery door by sliding it downwards, then hinging upwards.
2. Insert 2 AA(UM-3) batteries and close the battery door.
3. Be sure the batteries are installed correctly. The wrong polarity may damage the unit.
4.Don’t mix old and new batteries,or mix alkaline,standard(carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
5. If the unit is not to be used for an extended period, remove the batteries.
Recording Operation
1. Before recording, please check the bottom of the cassette tape on both sides, it must have two “Recording Lips”.
2. Open the cassette door and insert a blank tape, close the cassette door, press the “REC” button(in red color) to start record.
3. Monitor the recording process via headphones or speaker, press the “stop” button to stop the record function.
4. Press the F.BWD button to rewind the tape and press the play button to replay the recorded program.
5. Take out the recording lip to prevent the recorded program from being erased.
Cassette Player Operation
1. Switch the function selector to “Tape”.
2. Open the cassette door and insert a cassette tape with the exposed tape facing upwards.
3. Then close the cassette door, then press the play button.
4. Adjust the volume control to obtain the desired sound level.
5. Listen to the tapes via the speaker or headphones.
6. Press the stop button to switch it off.
Radio operation
1. Switch the function selector to “Radio”.
2. Switch the band selector to “AM” or “FM” for the desired band.
3. Turn the tuning knob to select the desired radio station.
4. Adjust the volume control to obtain the desired sound level.
5. To turn the radio off, switch the function selector to “tape”.
6. Tips: Help get better reception with earphones.
